Hamilton Laboratory Solutions supports various organizations and programs to promote the advancement of environmental stewardship.

The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program was developed by the USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council) to promote a sustainable future through the application of improved energy efficiencies and environmentally friendly products, practices and processes.

To evaluate building energy and environmental performance, the LEED Green Building Rating System was established. The rating system assigns points in the categories of Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy and Atmosphere, Materials and Resources and Indoor Environmental Quality. Of the 64 possible points, Hamilton Scientific products can have a direct impact on 24 points. We are a member of the USGBC and have been instrumental in the development and implementation of
LEED-AGL (Application Guide for Laboratory Facilities).

Labs21 is the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and DOE (Department of Energy) initiative dedicated to the pursuit of sustainable, high performance, and low energy laboratories. Hamilton Laboratory Solutions is an industry representative and contributing resource for this initiative.
